Sivakumar, speaker DUN Perak sedang diusung paksa keluar dewan!

| Raja Nazrin addresses assembly |
| UPDATED 3.45pm [Malaysian Insider] IPOH, May 7 — After a morning of confusion followed by scuffles, order is restored after PR Speaker V. Sivakumar is removed, and the Regent of Perak Raja Nazrin Shah finally enters the Perak State Assembly to deliver his address. He first stops to talk to ousted Pakatan Rakyat MB Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin and the DAP's Datuk Ngeh Khoo Ham before starting his address. Nizar then tells all the Pakatan reps to take their seat and they obey. BN Mentri Besar Datuk Zambry Abd Kadir earlier tabled a motion inviting Raja Nasrin to open the sitting of the state assembly. Earlier, the rival assemblymen continued their shouting match even as Sivakumar was taken out of the assembly hall. PR assemblymen shouted at the police to leave the House when they moved in. |
| Scuffles had broken out prior to this as PR assemblymen tried to get Barisan Nasional-installed Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan to leave the House, at one point almost getting him entangled in the microphone wires. The lawmakers were engaged in a shoving match as Ganesan attempted to take the Speaker’s chair while the Sivakumar refused to vacate his seat. Sivakumar attempted to reconvene proceedings but the situation descended into pandemonium with lawmakers on the verge of coming to blows. While both BN and PR still claim to be the legitimate government, there is now also two assembly Speakers after Ganesan took his oath as the new Speaker in a corner of the hall following Deputy Speaker Hee Yit Foong’s “removal” of Sivakumar. Earlier, Sivakumar had refused to vacate the Speaker’s seat while Ganesan presided over the sitting of BN assemblymen from his corner.Sivakumar has also announced that he had written a letter dated yesterday rejecting the tabling of all motions, including one to remove him and to install Ganesan as his replacement. The PR-appointed Speaker also pointed out that Raja Nazrin Shah had not yet declared open the sitting of the assembly. |

Kecoh Hocus Pocus DUN Perak sekitar tempat speaker

11:22 | Four proposals: 1) to dissolve the privileges committee 2) to terminate the Speaker. 3) the March 3 Democracy Tree assembly was illegal. 4) not sure. All "passed". Not sure if Pakatan Aduns even raised their hands to oppose. |
11:23 | Ganesan announced the recess. The strange thing is that Siva was sitting at the Speaker's usual seat while Ganesan was seated on the aisle behind Zambry. |
11:26 | PKR Wanita deputy chief Norsham Abu Samah says more than 60 arrested. 11:34 I am getting a clearer picture now: Zambry, Hee and Ganesan were all on the aisle. Siva's mike was switched off at around 10.50am. The mikes on the Pakatan side didn't seem to be working but the mikes near Zambry and co were. I am not sure exactly when Siva was outmanoevred. |

10:55 | The Deputy Speaker, Hee appears to have taken over proceeding. Sitting next to the Speaker, she says he has been suspended. |
10:56 | Siva doesn't have a mike. They have appointed Ganesan as the new Speaker. The Pakatan Aduns are angry. |

| PAS marah lagak Anwar dalam Pakatan |
Abdul Rahim Sabri |[Malaysiakini] May 5, 09 5:24pm |
KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — The Perak Constitution has no provision that allows for the ruler or anyone else to sack the mentri besar from his official position, the High Court here was told today.
While the Sultan of Perak had the power to appoint the MB as a constitutional monarch, he had no power to later force the MB out of his lawfully-appointed office, argued the lead lawyer for Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, who is suing Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir for usurping his rightful appointment as the MB of Perak.
In putting forward his submission before judge Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim this afternoon, Nizar’s chief counsel Sulaiman Abdullah said if the Sultan had the power to also order the sacking of the MB, it would be stated clearly in the Perak Constitution.
He also pointed out that unlike the case with the executive council members, Nizar does not hold the office of MB “at the pleasure of the Sultan of Perak”.
The only way to remove the person occupying the MB’s seat is through a vote of no-confidence, which must be taken inside the State Legislative Assembly, Sulaiman added.

apa yang mereka mahu.SHAH ALAM, May 2 — Twenty thousand ringgit. That's about how close three
young 3D animation filmmakers came to breaking the local box-office record for made-in-Malaysia movies with their very first feature-length film “Geng”.
The movie ended up taking in RM6.31 million at the end of its run in March, coming within a whisker of all-time champion “Lagi Lagi Senario” which grossed RM6.33 million in 2001.
Merchandise sales of the movie characters have been brisk and, as a sign of its popularity, have also been pirated and are being sold in pasar malams and even hypermarkets.
When met at their modest but comfortable corner shoplot studio in Shah Alam, the boys — Mohd Nizam Abd Razak, Mohd Safwan Abd Karim and Muhammad Usamah Zaid, all just 26 years of age and casually dressed — made it clear that with their next movie, they intend to see the record for the local movie box office not only fall but smashed — by opening the sequel to the family-oriented “Geng” during the school holidays in 2010 instead of outside it like with their first film.
They are feeling confident that the sequel could take in as much as RM12 million.
“Geng”, however, may well set the record for overall box office for a Malaysian movie as it is slated to open in Indonesia in September and India and Brunei some time later.
Their partner in India plans to dub the Malay-language feature into Tamil and Hindi, and has put out a conservative forecast of US$4 million (RM14.3 million) in box-office takings, although it could be several times that.
The trio also found themselves with a hit TV series on their very first try — “Upin & Ipin” — now in its second season on TV9 and the second-highest-rated cartoon series on television with an estimated 1.5 million viewers. That puts it ahead of “SpongeBob” (800,000 viewers) and behind only “Doraemon” (1.6 million viewers). It is also being shown in Indonesia.
Such commercial success was far from certain when the three film and animation coursemates and friends from Multimedia University (MMU) formed Les' Copaque Production Sdn Bhd together with a husband-and-wife investor in December 2005.
While it now appears they have something of the Pixar touch in that everything they have worked on has been a hit, although on a much smaller scale than the US-based studio behind “Finding Nemo” and “Toy Story”, the reality is that it involved hard work and a great deal of risk as some RM4 million was poured into making “Geng”.
To make ends meet, they had to do unrelated projects like video montages for golf club openings and television advertisements.
"Imagine if ‘Geng’ was not a hit, we would have had to close down," says Nizam, the more vocal of the three filmmakers and the trio's natural frontman.
