Did you know that the Qur'an is the most read book in the world? It is read and recited at least 17 times a day by the practising Muslim. How is that so?
A Muslim prays 5 times a day. Each prayer has segments, called rakaat. In each rakaat the opening verse of the Qur'an, the Al Fatihah must be recited.
Name of Prayer (Rakaat in parentheses)
1. Fajr (dawn) (2)
2. Zuhur (past midday)(4)
3. Asar (late afternoon) (4)
4. Magrib (dusk) (3)
5. Isya' (night) (4)
Total (17)
Once you pray with utmost sincerity solely to submit to Allah, you are alway at ease and tranquil.
