I felt relieved, as many Malaysians do, on hearing that YB Teresa has been released from ISA detention. I hope and pray, not only she be released, but all detainees now under ISA be released in no time and unconditionally.
I read a report on Teresa's release, and the thing which struck me most was her remark that she did not know why she was released, just like she did not know why she was detained in the first place. Well, I think those undisclosed reasons are pretty easy to unveil.
She was detained because the nationalists who metamorphosed into racists need feeds to keep them going, just like those herds in the husbandary need feeds, so also them. They feed on hatred. The more hatred they create among the populace, the fatter they get. Teresa happened to be the scape goat they were hunting.
They released her because those who orchestrated the issue which led to the detention were myopic people. They could not differentiate between black and grey. They lack the mental ability to extricate azan from the use of p.a. system.
As such, they lack the precision to make the case hold. The longer they detain her, the more harm it inflicts to UMNO's reputation. So, like or not. Teresa has to be released.
