I was stunned on reading Tun Dr. Mahathir comments on ISA during his tenure. Let me quote The Star Online:Asked if he would agree for the ISA to be amended, he said there was no amendment during his time as the people who were enforcing it refused to amend it.
Can you believe it for 22 years it looked as if he had no control over the provisions of the laws of the country to such as extent that if those enforcing the laws refuse to have any changes, he would seem to be powerless to do anything.
But he was powerful enough to engineer a number changes to the Malaysia constitution while at the same time was impotent when it comes to the ISA. Fool no one Tun. Who was the all embracing power during the 22 years of your despotic rule?
