This five-term state assemblyman is bound to spell disaster to UMNO. In 2004, when all PAS leaders, MPs and state assemblymen tumbled in Kuala Terengganu, he steadfastly held on.He retained the single remaining PAS state assembly seat in Kuala Terengganu in 2004. The then Menteri Besar Idris Jusoh has set his eyes on reclaiming this seat, but Wahid Endut was returned with a thumping victory and an increased majority in 2008.
